Tony is an exceptional realtor and a true professional. I had the pleasure of working with him and having him be my and my husband’s realtor during the home buying process to find our first home. This was a huge step for us and since we were new to the process and the real estate market, it was essential that we have an experienced, professional, detail oriented, patient and thoughtful realtor who we trusted and felt comfortable with to represent us. Tony was all that and then some.

At the outset, Tony met with us to explain the process in detail and to discuss our needs and wants in a home. My husband and I were nervous and excited, and Tony put us at ease because he was very personable, prepared, professional and knowledgeable. In addition, he was very thorough in his presentation and assessment, and provided us a helpful booklet of resources. Tony patiently and competently answered our numerous questions, and through our discussion, his years of experience and extensive knowledge of the real estate market was evident. It was clear to us after our initial meeting that we wanted Tony to lead us through this crazy Seller’s market to find our first home.

Nearly each week, Tony touched base with us and suggested properties to consider and view. Some weeks did not have any new properties in our desired market (Castro Valley), but Tony would still provide listings in nearby cities that otherwise fit our criteria. Tony was very flexible in working with our schedule to view homes, and even accommodated showing my husband a house on one day and me on another day on multiple occasions. He also extended words of encouragement and support, and talked through with us all of the feelings we were having as our search wasn’t fruitful, the market was slow and when our offers were not accepted. Tony never pushed properties on us just to get a sale, but instead, he provided many suggestions for us to consider, discussed pros and cons of the properties, was patient as we changed our minds regarding our search criteria (location, size, etc.) numerous times and re-calibrated with respect to our wants and needs as needed.

Tony was our coach and teacher throughout our search and educated us at each step of the process. He encouraged us to ask questions and made himself available via text and phone at all times, and was always willing to jump on a call no matter what time it was and where he was at. With each opportunity he found, Tony would make it a learning opportunity for us, which we greatly appreciated.

Tony was also our advocate. We submitted 6 offers and with each offer, Tony proactively spoke with the respective selling agent to tell him/her about us, asked him/her to give us a chance and tried to obtain as much information as possible regarding our status in relation to other offers. Our 6th offer got accepted out of 35 offers. The Seller’s agent noted that while there were several offers around our offer price, our offer stood out due to Tony’s professionally written cover email and offer, and the fact that Tony shortened up the contingency time frames and included all of the necessary components in the offer. During escrow and after inspections, Tony successfully negotiated a $7,000 credit for us and did not back down in the face of opposition. Due to Tony’s advocacy, we now have $7,000 back in our pocket.

Throughout the 6 month search, Tony repeatedly told us that he just wants us to be happy with our first house and that he would do everything to make that happen. And he did just that. My husband and I are extremely happy with Tony’s service and representation and I highly recommend him. We will always engage and trust Tony for our real estate needs in the future.
